The platen rollers do have normally a long lifespan, but if used sharp tools or instruments it is possible to damage irreparable the platenroller. If the platenroller is damaged, you will get a poor print. Besides, use always correct cleaningproducts which do not affect the rubber of the platenroller. So aswell for retaining the thermal printhead as the platenroller use the correct cleaningproducts!
Attention: Check always the condition of the platenroller before exchaining a new printhead!
